Pat Dubois.
Twenty years in media and radio. The whole job was saying one thing clearly, out loud, on a deadline.
Now I build software with AI agents, and I still mostly talk. I dictate, the machines type. Talking for a living transfers better than you would think.
Diet technical, my term. Deep enough to ship, allergic to jargon.
Sober, for what it's worth.
what I'm building
Nothing pinned here yet. That is on purpose.
The current run: small tools, built with AI agents, steered by voice. Software one person can ship and stand behind.
The first one that earns it gets a window of its own. Until then, the commits are on GitHub.
- 05:58 levels. one two. one two.
- 06:00 on.
- 06:12 cold open landed. nobody claps in radio.
- 07:41 caller wants a song we do not have. played something better.
- 08:15 dead air averted. four seconds. felt like forty.
- 09:30 read the weather like it mattered. somewhere, it did.
- 10:55 promo, take one. promo, take nine. nine was the one.
- 12:03 lunch at the console. crumbs in the faders.
- 14:20 new mic, same voice.
- 16:45 drive time. talk to one person, not everyone.
- 18:30 back-announce, clean.
- 21:00 off. the log ends. the day does not.
- twenty years of that.
- the console is a terminal now.
- still doing level checks.
