Radio teaches you one job: say it clearly, on a clock, for people who can leave whenever they want. Twenty years of that. It doesn't wear off.
These days I build things with a crew of AI agents. I talk to my machines more than I type. Plans, drafts, code: spoken first. The keyboard is mostly for punctuation.
I call it diet technical: deep enough to ship, allergic to jargon. If I can't say a thing plainly, I don't understand it yet.
Communication is the through line. Tools change. The job stays: get the idea across, cleanly, first take.
